Sound familiar?

You're standing at a bus stop in rural Georgia. No data. No idea if the water is safe. Your translation app needs Wi-Fi. Your currency converter is three apps away.

Travel apps today either work offline or have good info — never both. You end up juggling 6 apps, 3 browser tabs, and a prayer.

What if one app had it all — and actually worked when you're off-grid?

Our Story

Itchy Feet was born in Osh, Kyrgyzstan — over a very greasy, very necessary pepperoni pizza. We'd just finished a 7-day trek through the Tajik mountains and Viktor, who genuinely cannot go two weeks without pizza (it's a medical condition at this point), had finally tracked one down. Sitting there, exhausted and happy, we started talking about travel — how it could be easier, safer, less chaotic. One slice turned into a whole pizza, and one conversation turned into a plan. So we built it.

Built in Malmö, Sweden. Made for everywhere.

Got Questions? We've Got Answers.

💰 Is Itchy Feet free?

Yep — and we mean it. The core app is free, full stop. We'll have some optional premium features and merch down the road — the kind of nice-to-haves that make travel even smoother, never paywalled essentials. That's how we cover our costs. Anything beyond that goes straight back into the community: lower prices, better features, more good stuff. This isn't a typical startup. It's a community project, and we plan to keep it that way.

🚀 When does it launch?

We're aiming for a closed beta with a select group of travelers around September 2026. Fair warning though — it's just the two of us building this, and we both work regular jobs to keep the lights on at home. We're moving as fast as we can, but life happens. If things shift, we'll be upfront about it. Join the waitlist and you'll be first to know — and first in line for a beta spot.

📱 What devices does it work on?

Android first, then iOS, then a web version. We're starting with Android so we can move fast and get real feedback before we expand. Patience, iOS folks — you're on the list.

📡 Will it work offline?

That's the whole point. Offline-first is baked into everything we build — maps, translation, country info, your itinerary. No signal? No problem. Because the places worth going are usually the ones with terrible Wi-Fi.

🎒 Who's behind this?

Hey, we're Julianne & Viktor — two travelers from Malmö, Sweden, with 51 countries between us and counting. We got tired of juggling many apps, dealing with unpleasant surprises on the road, and wading through the same generic, non-authentic advice that the internet keeps recycling. So we decided to build the thing we actually wanted. That's it. That's the whole story.
