Terms of Service

👋 1. Accepting the Terms

By using the Itchy Feet app, website, or joining our waitlist, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service (though we'll be sad to see you go!).

We are a small indie team based in Malmö, Sweden, and these terms apply globally to all our users.

🎫 2. Your Account

• Age: You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• Accuracy: You agree to provide real, accurate information when signing up. No fake emails.
• Security: You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe. If someone hacks your account because you used "password123", that's on you. Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

🌍 3. Community Guidelines

Itchy Feet relies on crowdsourced tips to help travelers. Don't ruin it for everyone else. By using our platform, you agree NOT to:

• Post illegal, hateful, discriminatory, or sexually explicit content.
• Harass, bully, or spam other users.
• Post fake reviews or intentionally misleading travel advice.
• Use the platform for commercial advertising without our permission.
• Attempt to hack, scrape, or break the application.

If you break these rules, we reserve the right to delete your content and ban your account without warning.

📸 4. Your Content

You own what you post. Your photos, reviews, and travel itineraries belong to you.

However, by posting on Itchy Feet, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content within the app and for marketing purposes (like highlighting "Top Tips of the Week" on our landing page).

If you delete your account, we will remove your private personal data, but we may anonymize and retain community contributions (like a public review of a restaurant) so that the travel guide remains useful for others.

🚨 5. Safety & Location Tracking

Features like "Mom-Approved Tracking" allow you to share your live GPS location with designated contacts. This is an opt-in feature.

While we strive for accuracy, Itchy Feet is not an emergency service. GPS signals fail, batteries die, and cell service drops. Never rely solely on Itchy Feet for your physical safety in dangerous situations.

🤖 6. Fair Use of AI

We provide AI-powered features (translation, auto-guides) to make travel easier. Because these features cost us money every time you click, we require "Fair Use":

• Do not use bots or scripts to automate AI requests.
• Do not try to "jailbreak" or exploit the AI to generate inappropriate content.
• We may impose rate limits on AI features to prevent abuse and keep the platform affordable.

⚠️ 7. "As-Is" & Liability

We are building this app in our spare time because we love it. However, from a legal standpoint:

• Itchy Feet is provided "AS-IS" and "AS-AVAILABLE". We don't guarantee that the app will always be bug-free or have 100% uptime.
• We are not responsible if a local transport tip is outdated and you miss your bus. Always double-check critical travel info.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, Julianne and Viktor are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app (including lost data, lost profits, or travel mishaps).

🛑 8. Termination

You can leave Itchy Feet at any time by deleting your account. We can also terminate or suspend your account at any time, for any reason—especially if you violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

⚖️ 9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes that we can't resolve amicably over an email (or a coffee, if you're in Malmö) will be handled in the Swedish courts.
